MY FAVORITE DANCER'S BLOG

Shelby Elsbree, writing from the Royal Danish Ballet in Copenhagen, has a wonderful blog called Tutus and Tea. Not only is she a lovely young lady and dancer, she is proving also to be a very talented writer, baker and photographer! There is that special something about her and her blog that always makes me feel happy. Pièce de résistance: at the moment she is writing from Paris where she has been for Christmas!

And I love this interview with Shelby at Cupcakes and Conversations with Ballet Dancers

Here she is as the Blue Girl in Jerome Robbins' "Dances at a Gathering" with the Royal Danish Ballet, photo by David Amzallag

Check out this poll going for the top dance blogs of 2010 here. Tutus and Tea definitely has my vote!

The exciting news is that the Royal Danish Ballet will be coming to New York City, to Lincoln Center in June 2011!!

Thanks for the link to Shelby's blog! I remember seeing her dance 4T's in workshop a few of years ago and enjoyed her dancing very much. I wondered where she was...how wonderful to hear she's with Royal Danish Ballet.

So sweet of you to post this, Monica. I can say honestly that yours is without a doubt, my favorite Children's Book/Illustrator Blog, and a definite inspiration for my starting a blog as well :) Merci Beaucoup!
