On Sunday afternoon I am going to be at Books of Wonder with Gabby and Grandma Go Green. I see that Sean Qualls and Brian Yanish are also participating with their new books. They were both in my class at School of Visual Arts some years ago. Cool! If you are in NYC I hope you can make it: 18 West 18th Street

Please join us on Sunday, April 17th, from 1-3pm as we welcome FIVE talented authors and artists who've created books that are perfectly suited for this year's celebration of Earth Day! Joining us will be the award-winning creator of Mutts, NY Times best-selling author and artist PATRICK McDONNELL for his new picture book, Me...Jane, the story of Dr. Jane Goodall; best-selling author and artist PETER BROWN for his hit picture book, The Curious Garden; award-winning artist SEAN QUALLS for Giant Steps to Change the World by Spike Lee & Tonya Lewis Lee; author and artist MONICA WELLINGTON for Gabby and Grandma go Green; and author and artist BRIAN YANISH for The ScrapKins: Build-It Book. Beginning at 1pm, each author or artist will present their book, we'll then take questions from the audience, after which the authors and artists will be happy to sign copies of all their wonderful books. Ages 3-8. 1-3pm.
